今日僕のキャンパスで障害者のための音楽コンテストがASDMAによって開かれた。
会場にはいろんな障害を持った人たちが集まった。盲、聾に四肢障害（重度の知的障害はいなかったが、軽度はいたと思う）の人たち。
付き添いなどの健常者も合わせて全部で１００人ぐらいいたか。その中には学校の生徒も何人か混ざっていた。
生徒の障害者に対する感覚は結構普通だったと思う。
南アにもこういう組織があるとは当然かもしれないけれど驚いた。
僕は音楽に疎いので正しい評価はできないが、コンテスト全体のレベルはあまり高くなかったと思う。
おそらく今回のコンテストはムプマランガ州レベルの大会なので、練習もしていないだろうな、と思われるようなもの、
途中でダメだこりゃ、と言って辞退する人も含まれていたので。
観客もこれがまた、歌ってるときもぺちゃくちゃ喋ってうるさいの。
それでも盲の男性の方で、キーボードに合わせてとても綺麗なハスキーボイスで伸びやかに歌う方がいて聞いていて楽しかった。
こういうイベントは健常者、障害者問わずいいことだと思う。健常者にとっては知人にバラエティーが出るし、
障害者にとっても自分の能力をアピールするいい機会だから。
しかし、本当にいい社会というのはこのコンテストのように、「障害者のための」と括るのではなく、
健常者も障害者もごちゃ混ぜの中でコンテストを開けるようになることだと思う。
ただし、健常者と障害者のレベルに明らかに違いが出てしまうもの、たとえばスポーツに関してはこの限りではないが。
南アのことを書いたけど、日本はこのところどうなんだろう。考えたこともなかった。。。反省。
日本では考えもしなかったことを、外国に身を置くことで考えるようになる。なぁ、と感じたよ。

The talent research competition was held at my campus today.
This competition is for disabled persons who is the deaf, blind and limbs disabled.
I surprised there is such as this competition in South Africa.
About 100 people came the competition around Mpmalanga province,
and some my students came and listened to their musics.
I supposed that their feeling against disabled persons is not bad.
However it looks that the disabeled does not be able to participate to their society in South Africa because I have hardly seen disabled persons in my city.
I don't know what is a good musician, so I can't evaluate their singing.
But I could say that the competition was not so high quality because there was someone give up to sing because of their skill or thought as no practice. And the audience was noisy during their singing.
While there were these people, the most of people sung seriously with beautiful voice.
I enjoyed their singing.
Whatever the situation was, I think such as this competition is really good for communities to remove a wall which stands between disabled and ordinary,
and good for disabled persons' opportunities.
And I think that the best society is the society in which disabled persons participate in their society like as ordinary person,
and they can compete with each other at a mixed community especially in music, but in sports it can't be applied.
I wrote about South Africa, how about Japan, I haven't thought that...
The experiences in a foreign country notices me many things about which I don't think when I was in Japan.
